FAQs

When can we visit the farm for U-cut trees?

U-cut trees are open on weekends only (Saturday and Sunday) from 9am to 4:30pm, starting November 30th, 2024.

Is there parking available?

As a small farm, we have a limited parking. There may be line-ups at times especially during weekends, so please be mindful of others and the time spent at the farm to accommodate others who also want to get their tree.

What do I need to bring to the farm?

  • We encourage customers to bring their tie downs via ropes or other types of ties to secure their tree to the vehicle.
  • We often have strings at the farm if you forgot but we do recommend to bring this when you get your tree.
  • You can bring your Hand-saw. Chainsaws are not allowed. If a chainsaw is required for a larger tree, you must talk to one of the staff first. Hand-saws are available at the farm.

Trees marked with Red Flags/Ribbons are NOT for sale. Do not cut these trees!

We discourage all cuttings of our juvenile trees in the field (trees that are 5ft and below). These are the future trees and are not for sale. Charges on juvenile trees will be double on trees with red flags. Please read signages around the farm and follow the staff reminders.

Can I reserve trees in the U-Cut Fields?

We do not reserve nor hold a tree in the u-cut field. Only trees purchased in the tree lot via fresh pre-cut can be held once paid on-site or online.

Anything else I should know before I go to the farm?

Kindly read our Farm Rules page.

Can I return my tree? Does it come with a guarantee?

Christmas trees are considered perishable. No guarantee or refund on trees.

How do I set up my fresh cut Christmas Tree?

Helpful Tips: Setting up a Fresh Christmas Tree

1. Once you've chosen the perfect Christmas tree from our farm and brought it home, take your tree out in a grassy area and shake it well.

2. Place the tree in a bucket of water.

3. Climatize the tree by leaving it overnight in the garage or carport in the bucket of water.

4. Once you've selected the area of the house where to place the tree (make sure the area selected is away from heat vents), take the tree out of the bucket of water and shake it one last time outdoors.

5. Before you bring in the tree, double check your measurements to make sure that the tree will fit into your designated spot in the house (width and height).

6. Make a fresh cut on the bottom of the trunk to remove any dried sap. Trim any branches and top if needed.

7. Bring the tree indoors and place it into the tree stand.

8. Tighten the screws into the base of the tree to secure it.

9. Remember to add water in the tree stand; tree preservatives can be added with the water. Freshly cut trees absorb as much as a gallon of water a day. Check the stand daily, and make sure the bottom of the trunk is always immersed. Don't let it dry out.

10. Before decorating the tree, place a sheet on the floor to catch needles. Put up lights and garlands first, ornaments last.

11. To hide the tree stand, a decorative tree skirt could be added.

12. Now, it's time to put up your "star/angel" on top of your tree. Make sure to unplug the lights before going to bed.

13. Merry Christmas!

Where can I take my tree after use?

We support the “Tree Chipping Fundraising Event” hosted by the Ridge Meadows Fire and Rescue. By donation, they will do the tree chipping for you. You can also arrange your tree to be picked up by donation. Click HERE for further details.
