Fresh Cut Christmas Trees

Setting Up Your Fresh Christmas Tree

Give It a Shake
After selecting the perfect Christmas tree from our farm, take it to a grassy area and give it a good shake. This helps remove any loose needles or hidden surprises before bringing it indoors.

Quench Its Thirst
Place your tree in a bucket of water right away to keep it fresh and hydrated. A thirsty tree isn’t a happy tree!

Let It Adjust
Before bringing it inside, let your tree climatize by leaving it overnight in the garage or carport in its bucket of water. This helps it adjust to the warmer indoor temperatures.

Find the Perfect Spot
Pick a cozy area in your home that’s away from heat vents and direct sunlight. After one final shake outdoors, double-check your tree’s measurements to ensure it fits both height and width in its designated spot.

Fresh Cut for a Fresh Start
Before setting it up, make a fresh cut on the bottom of the trunk to remove any dried sap. Trim any branches or the top if needed for a perfect fit.

Secure the Tree
Bring your tree indoors and place it in your tree stand. Tighten the screws around the base to keep it steady and secure.

Hydrate Regularly
Fill the stand with water (you can add tree preservative if you’d like), and remember—freshly cut trees can drink up to a gallon a day! Check the water level daily to make sure the trunk is always submerged.

Prep for Decorating
Before you start decorating, lay a sheet on the floor to catch any falling needles. Lights and garlands go up first, then your favorite ornaments.

Add a Touch of Style
Hide the tree stand with a decorative tree skirt for a polished look. Now, it’s time to add your crowning touch—whether it’s a star or angel on top of your tree.

Final Touches
Unplug the lights before heading to bed, and enjoy your beautifully decorated tree. Merry Christmas!
